What the website does

The website is an informational site.  The only interactive element is a link that opens your email program (a “mailto:” link).   The site does not use accounts, comments, e-commerce, or analytics integrations.

What personal data the site collects

A. Data you provide

If you email Parser Law bv, Parser Law bv will receive the personal data you include in your message (e.g., your email address, name, and message contents).

B. Data processed automatically when you visit (Wix hosting/platform)

Because the site is hosted on Wix, Wix will process certain technical data (e.g., device/browser data, IP address/log data) and use cookies needed for security and core site operation.

Why we use personal data

Parser Law bv uses email communications only to:

  • respond to your inquiry,

  • communicate with you about what you requested,

  • keep basic records of communications (see retention below).

Parser Law bv does not intend to use your data for marketing or tracking.

Wix processes certain data to provide, maintain, and secure the hosting/platform services.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Depending on the situation, processing is based on:

  • steps prior to entering a contract / performance of a contract (answering a request),

  • legitimate interests (running a secure, functional website; handling communications),

  • consent (mainly for any non-essential cookies if they are ever used/enabled),

  • legal obligation (if we must retain certain records).

Cookies and similar technologies

Parser Law bv does not plan to add marketing/advertising trackers ourselves. However, Wix sites may use cookies that are necessary for security and core functionality, and (depending on configuration/features) other categories of cookies may be present. Belgian regulator expectations have emphasized that where non-essential cookies are used, visitors should have an equally easy “Reject all” option and consent must be freely given (no deceptive design).

How you can manage cookie preferences on our Wix site

If a Wix cookie banner is enabled on the site:

  • When you first visit, you can accept/decline non-essential cookies via the banner. Wix explains that visitors can later change preferences using the privacy trigger (a small button/widget that reopens the banner).

  • If you do not see the banner/trigger, you can also manage cookies via your browser settings (delete/block cookies).

How you (site owner) enable this in Wix (brief)

Wix documents using the Wix Privacy Center to add a cookie banner, giving visitors the option to accept/decline non-essential cookies.

Sharing / recipients

  • Wix.com (hosting/platform provider). Wix’s GDPR materials describe the site owner as controller of site-visitor data and Wix as processor in that context.

  • Whois.com (domain name provider): Whois provides the domain registration/domain services. Depending on the service, domain providers may process some data under their own privacy terms. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Wix may process data outside the EEA depending on where its infrastructure/sub-processors operate. Wix states it relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) plus additional safeguards where required for transfers. Domain providers may also operate internationally depending on their setup.

Retention

  • Emails / inquiries: Parser Law bv keeps them for 12 months after our last interaction, unless needed to handle a legal claim or obligation.

  • Invoices/accounting records (only if applicable): regarding invoices, Belgian FPS Finance guidance indicates these must be kept 10 years from 1 January of the year following the date of issue.

Your rights

You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability (where applicable), and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.  To exercise your rights regarding processing by Parser Law bv, contact: info[at]parser.law.

Complaints (Belgium)

You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA).

Changes

Parser Law bv may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
